I'm just curious as to why the director thought it would be cool to see them fight on an aircraft carrier.  My initial thought was, "that's silly."

Did Godzilla leap out of the water and land on it this super carrier?  Is Kong one-punching him off? I mean c'mon, Godzilla only needs to grab him and take him to the water.

It's a bit early to be thinking about this...time for some coffee.

It's probably just an homage to the original film where Kong was rafted across the ocean. But unlike that movie, it appears Godzilla is giving Kong a surprise this time around.
